The Franchise Owner's most trusted news source
The PF Independent Franchisee Association (PFIFA) announced today that it has retained former International Franchise Association CEO Steve Caldeira to advise the organization on strategic communications with its franchisee-based membership.
Initially, Caldeira will support PFIFA in its effort to launch a cost-saving professionally managed supply chain cooperative with a full-time executive director. Caldeira will advise the supply chain committee that was formed in 2015 to develop a collective buying arrangement.
"I look forward to the opportunity to support PFIFA's goal to increase the value of the Planet Fitness franchise for all of its franchisees," said Caldeira.
"The business case and cost-saving opportunities for Planet Fitness franchisees will be significant both for those who seek to build new clubs, and for all stakeholders who want to buy products and services by leveraging the buying power of the 1,200+ locations in the system," said Stan DeMartinis, Jr., chair of the PFIFA Supply Chain Committee. "As PFIFA moves forward with the development of its independent supply chain organization, the association will greatly benefit from Steve's extensive industry knowledge, strategic counsel and consensus-building skills," he added.
